Our mission

Travel that takes turns.
Giving that builds careers.

Our goal is to make memorable trips reachable for everyday people, and to help more people start careers in the skilled trades.

Who we are

VoyageQueue was founded in Parachute, Colorado, on the Western Slope, by people who believe a great vacation shouldn't depend on luck or a big savings account. We're a membership club that pools small monthly subscriptions so members take turns traveling. We act as an intermediary: trips are booked through licensed travel partners.

How the queue works

Pick a line (Domestic, International, Family, Accessible, Young Children or Couples) and keep your subscription active to hold your place. When a line's fund reaches the cost of a trip, the member at the front gets the offer. They can accept, pass (move back 3 spots), donate the trip's value, or pay the difference to upgrade. Miss a payment and you leave the line, then rejoin at the back. If new sign-ups slow down, the fund grows more slowly, and in the extreme each member may end up funding most of their own trip. We show that honestly at sign-up.

Why trade schools

Skilled trades build and keep this country running: pilots and aircraft mechanics, truck drivers, welders, electricians, diesel and HVAC technicians. Many of these programs are short and affordable, but cost still keeps people out. We support accredited public trade and technical colleges and established nonprofit scholarship funds, starting close to home in Colorado and the Mountain West.

How the giving works

We keep giving simple and above-board. Members can add an optional monthly gift, and winners can donate their trip's value. Those gifts are processed by Pledge and the Pledgeling Foundation, an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity, which grants them to the school's foundation or the scholarship fund you choose. Money never goes directly to students, and gifts are sent through Pledge rather than paid out by us. VoyageQueue may also make its own gifts from its operating income. We publish scholarship totals on our Impact page. Membership fees are not donations.

Our promises

  • You only ever see your own place in line. Everyone else sees an alias.
  • Prices, fees and the self-funding risk are shown before you pay.
  • Every gift goes to an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3): a college foundation or a nonprofit scholarship fund. Each one is checked before it's listed.
  • Scholarship totals are public and updated live.
  • We don't sell your personal data.
