Draft for legal review

This is a plain-language draft. It is not final and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before VoyageQueue takes real payments.

1. Who we are

VoyageQueue runs a membership and trip fund. Trips are supplied by independent travel partners. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

Account details (name, email, state of residence, age confirmation, terms acceptance). Membership details (lines joined, plan, travel companions' names, accessibility needs and children's ages you choose to share, your chosen trade school, scholarship add-on). Payment records (amounts, dates, Stripe references — we never see or store full card numbers). Trip offers, choices, reviews you write, and votes. Technical data needed for security (IP address for rate limiting, sign-in cookies, sign-in codes).

3. How we use it

To run your membership and place in line, process payments through Stripe, send trip offers, reminders, payment alerts and (only if you opt in) monthly updates, arrange trips with travel partners, send scholarship gifts through Pledge, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal and tax obligations.

4. What others see

Queues, winner lists, reviews and the scholarship impact page show only your alias — never your name, email or contact details. Travel partners receive only the details needed to book your trip after you accept it.

5. Who we share with

Stripe (payments), our email provider (account emails), travel partners (to book an accepted trip), Pledge and the Pledgeling Foundation (to process optional gifts you make and send your tax receipt: name, email and gift amount), schools and scholarship funds (gift totals only, never member personal data), and authorities when the law requires. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Sensitive details

Accessibility needs and children's ages are optional and used only to plan suitable trips. Only the club owner and, for an accepted trip, the booking partner can see them.

7. Your choices

Download your data or delete your personal details anytime from your dashboard. Deleting wipes your name, companions, notes, reviews and alias, cancels auto-pay and closes your account; payment records are kept for tax and refund purposes. Turn monthly emails on or off from your dashboard or the unsubscribe link.

8. Security & retention

Passwords are hashed, sign-in uses secure cookies, staff accounts use two-step codes, and admin actions are logged. We keep account data while your account is open and payment records as long as tax law requires.

8b. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure. We don't use advertising cookies or sell or share your data for targeted advertising.

8c. Your state privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example Colorado, California, Utah and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to know what we hold, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of sale, targeted advertising or profiling. We don't sell personal data or do targeted advertising. Use the download and delete tools on your dashboard, or contact us; we'll respond within the time the law requires and won't treat you differently for using these rights. If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer.

9. Children

VoyageQueue accounts are for adults 18+. Children's ages are provided by a parent or guardian only for trip planning.

10. Changes & contact

We'll post updates here and ask you to re-accept when the terms change. Questions: contact the club owner through the email on your account receipts.
